Bethesda Ministries is a religious medical and social outreach working among the under-served peoples in the jungles of Indonesian West Borneo. Initially established in the 1960's as a small medical clinic to serve the Dyak tribal people of the Borneo rainforest, Bethesda Ministries has continued to grow and expand in its areas of ministry.
Our current spheres of service: Outpatient clinic averaging over 25,000 patient visits per year Inpatient hospital care with 90 bed capacity, offering high quality medical care on a sliding fee scale: No one is turned away! Continuing medical education offered for Indonesian medical staff Academy of nursing with a proven track record, graduating 40 well-trained nurses each year A far-flung clinic outreach with 4 remote clinics accessible only by single engine aircraft Rural public health care serving over 70 village complexes with a total service population of 13,000 with a specific focus on preventive child and maternal health care and education
BMSM is a non-profit, evangelical ministry owned and operated by an Indonesian foundation and dedicated to the proclamation of the Gospel through healing and social ministries.
