Our Mission, Vision and Values

Mission statement: "Together with Churches and Organizations which volunteer to participate - churches and groups in Indonesia as well as in other countries -the Bethesda Mission Hospital at Serukam purposes to be an instrument for the spreading of the Gospel of Salvation in Jesus Christ to as many people as can possibly be reached through the avenue of health care which is competently and compassionately made available to any and all who come, especially reaching out to those who are isolated and forgotten, poverty stricken, lacking in formal education and who reside far from adequate sources of health care."
Vision: Bethesda Medical and Social Ministries is made up of people who come from all walks of life, countries, cultures, races and language. These people have been called and united by God into a team for the purpose of carrying out the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. The demonstration of this call is through holistic health care, ministering both to body and spirit.
Values:
  • We desire to serve in humility, without paternalism.
  • We will serve any and all who come, to the best of our ability, regardless of race, religion, gender, age, income level or type of illness.
  • Our standard for truth and our reason for living and serving is set by The Word of God, the Holy Bible.
  • We will love and forgive one another because this is the only way to achieve unity and teamwork, and this is what Jesus calls us to do.
  • We will always tell the truth in love, pursue honesty and justice, mercy and compassion.
